Service Dog Registration: Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions

DISCLAIMER
By submitting an application to register a service dog within the jurisdiction of the Sovereign Yidindji Government (SYG), you acknowledge that:

The registration process is governed under the laws, customs, and jurisdiction of the Sovereign Yidindji Government, an independent and lawful authority.

The Sovereign Yidindji Government accepts no liability for any denial of access, refusal of recognition, or enforcement action taken by external authorities in relation to your service dog or your reliance on this registration outside of Yidindji territory.

All information provided by you must be truthful, accurate, and current. False or misleading declarations may result in cancellation of registration and possible legal action under Yidindji law.

The Yidindji Government reserves the right to refuse or revoke registration at its sole discretion if any breach of the terms is discovered or suspected.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a recognised citizen or lawful resident within the Yidindji jurisdiction, or be under special consideration by the appropriate authority.

The animal must be trained, or currently in training, to perform tasks directly related to a physical, psychiatric, sensory, or intellectual disability of its handler.

Proof of such training or intent of training must be provided at the time of application.
2. Registration Process

Applicants must complete the official Service Dog Registration Form, including medical evidence of the need for a service animal and certification (if applicable) from a qualified trainer or program.

The service dog must meet health and behavioural standards outlined by the Yidindji Veterinary Guidelines (or by accepted veterinary authority where applicable).

An administrative registration fee may apply.
3. Conduct & Responsibilities

The handler is responsible at all times for the control, welfare, and appropriate conduct of the service dog.

Any aggressive behaviour, lack of control, or failure to meet public health or safety expectations may result in the withdrawal of registration.

Handlers are responsible for ensuring the dog wears identifying insignia (badge, vest, or tag) provided or approved by the SYG.
4. Use of Registration

This registration is valid only within Yidindji jurisdiction and for use in Yidindji-run or affiliated programs, facilities, and services.

Registration is not transferable between individuals or animals.

The registration certificate and associated insignia remain the property of the SYG and must be surrendered if requested.
5. Privacy & Use of Information

The personal and medical information provided will be treated in accordance with the Yidindji Privacy Guidelines and used solely for the purpose of registration and enforcement of applicable laws.

By applying, the applicant consents to the collection, use, and verification of such information for compliance purposes.
6. Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
-
Any disputes or appeals related to service dog registration shall be resolved in accordance with Yidindji customary law and its authorised administrative mechanisms.

The applicant agrees that the laws of the Sovereign Yidindji Government shall apply exclusively to the registration and use of service dogs under this program.
